KACEcoat Terms of Use

1. Agreement

KACEcoat is provided by KACE Sciences. By creating an account or using KACEcoat, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use KACEcoat.

2. Accounts

Accounts are approved by KACE Sciences, which may decline, suspend or close any account. Keep your login details confidential and do not share your account; you are responsible for activity under it.

3. Permitted use

You may use KACEcoat, and the reports it produces, for your own work and within your organization, including in batch records, development reports and technical discussions.

4. What you may not do

• Copy, reproduce or redistribute KACEcoat’s calculations, recommendations, ranges or methods, or use them to build a competing product or service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or otherwise try to work out how KACEcoat’s calculations, recommendations or drawing reading are performed.
• Use scripts, bots, scrapers or other automated means to access KACEcoat or to collect its outputs in bulk.
• Get around access controls, usage limits or other protections.
• Resell, sublicense or provide KACEcoat or its outputs as a service to others.

5. Your uploads

You may only upload tooling drawings and other files you have the right to use. Uploaded drawings are read to extract their values and then discarded; they are not stored. You remain responsible for the confidentiality obligations that apply to your files.

6. Ownership

KACEcoat, including its software, calculations, recommendations and content, belongs to KACE Sciences and is protected by copyright and other laws. These terms do not give you any ownership of KACEcoat.

7. Results are guidance, not a guarantee

KACEcoat’s results, ranges, risks and recommendations are estimates and starting points based on general practice and published sources. They do not replace professional judgment, equipment and material suppliers’ instructions, or your own development, validation and quality procedures, and they must be confirmed before use in manufacturing. KACEcoat is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, KACE Sciences is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of KACEcoat or reliance on its results, including lost batches, product, time or profits.

9. Monitoring and enforcement

KACE Sciences records usage (such as calculations, reports and uploads) to protect the service and enforce these terms, and may limit or end access for anyone who breaches them.

10. Third-party names

KACEcoat refers to other companies’ products and publications (for example Opadry® and Acryl-EZE®, registered trademarks of BPSI Holdings LLC (Colorcon); Klucel™, a trademark of Ashland; and Natoli Engineering) only to identify them. KACE Sciences is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies. Estimates KACEcoat gives for their products (such as suspension viscosity) are KACEcoat’s own and are not the manufacturers’ data; follow the manufacturers’ own documentation.

11. Changes

KACE Sciences may update these terms. When it does, you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing to use KACEcoat.
