Equipment

Procedure

  1. Add 489 g of water to the vessel.
  2. Adjust the height of the impeller to be just above the bottom of the vessel and align to the center. Turn on the impeller and adjust the speed to form a vortex almost all the way down to the impeller.
  3. Add the 86 g of powder as fast and as uniformly as possible without collapsing the vortex.
  4. Once all the powder has been added and dispersed, reduce the impeller speed to maintain a slight vortex at the surface.

This is an example for 500 g of an aesthetic coating suspension at 15% solids. Log in to get the suspension preparation for your own settings.
